Dell Inspiron N5040 LCD Panel and Hinges Removal

1. Before removing the LCD Panel and Hinges :

• Ensure that the work surface is level and protected to prevent either the surface or the computer from being scratched.
• Make sure the system is powered off by either shutting down the system through the operating system or by manually holding the power button.
• Ensure that all attached devices are powered off.
• Disconnect all external cables from the computer.
• Remove the Battery  from the system.
• Remove the Keyboard  from the system.
• Remove the Optical Drive  from the system.
• Remove the Hinge Cover  from the system.
• Remove the Palm Rest  from the system.
• Remove the WLAN/Bluetooth  from the system.
• Remove the LCD Assembly  from the system.
• Remove the LCD Bezel  from the system.
• Remove the Camera  from the system. 

2. Release the antenna cables from the right LCD hinge.

3. Remove the six screws securing the LCD panel with brackets and hinges to the LCD assembly.

4. Lift up the LCD panel with brackets and hinges from the LCD back cover.

5. Release the LCD data cable from the left LCD hinge.

6. Remove the four screws securing the LCD brackets and hinges to the LCD panel.

7. Complete.
